This technique involves inserting special threads under the skin into the fatty tissue or deep dermis under local anesthesia and without any incisions. This supports and lifts the skin.


The effect after a thread lift treatment is immediate and continues to improve over the course of several months, as the stimulation of the thread activates the formation of new collagen. The minimal interventions mean that recovery times are short. Side effects such as swelling and minor bruising at the injection sites disappear a few days after the thread lift.

  • How does a thread lift work?

    The thread lift is an innovative procedure for facial rejuvenation, whereby the natural facial features are preserved. It is a minimally invasive method without surgery and can be performed in our practice.

  • Who is the thread lift suitable for?

    We offer thread lifting both as a standalone treatment and in combination with neurotoxic proteins, fillers or radiofrequency therapy. The procedure is particularly suitable for patients who suffer from slight excess skin in the face or neck area, but for whom a surgical procedure seems too complex or a comprehensive facelift is not yet an option.

  • How long does the result last?

    The first positive results are visible immediately after the treatment. The full success of the treatment is apparent after about 6-8 weeks during the course of the thread resorption and the build-up of collagen. The result lasts up to 2 years and the procedure can be repeated without any problems and can also be combined with other lifting and filler methods.

  • Are there any risks and side effects and how long will I be out of action after treatment?

    Immediately after the treatment, local swelling and temporary pain in the treatment area may occur. Small bruises/hematomas may sometimes appear. These usually heal after a week. Serious complications are generally not to be expected, but we will of course explain all possible complications to you in detail in a personal consultation.

  • What can I expect?

    Our goal is a holistic treatment to optimize your appearance. To do this, we will respond to your individual wishes and ideas and work out a treatment plan together with you. The initial consultation will therefore take at least 30 minutes. Since treatment strategies have changed enormously in recent years, we like to combine the facial treatment with hyaluronic acid products, skin boosters, radio frequency therapy and neurotoxin treatments. The result is a fresher, smoother, but still natural facial expression.

  • How much does it cost?

    The costs vary from individual to individual and depend on the type and quantity of threads used. Prices start at €200.00. A detailed cost plan will be drawn up for you during the detailed consultation. Our prices always include the sales tax required for aesthetic procedures.

The natural facial features are preserved with a thread lift. It is a so-called minimally invasive method without surgery and can be performed in our practice

With the help of the finest needles, PDO threads are drawn into the skin like a net. PDO (polydioxanone) is an absorbable (=dissolvable) material that has been used as surgical suture material for many years. The threads that are inserted stimulate the production of new collagen and therefore lead to smoothing and tightening of the skin. Sagging skin areas (e.g. cheeks, eyebrows, nasolabial folds) can be treated with special barbed threads (BARB threads), which have an additional mechanical lifting effect thanks to the finest hooks. A mild pain-relieving ointment is usually sufficient for the treatment, which is applied around 30 minutes before the procedure in order to achieve its full effect.


If the stronger BARB threads are inserted, a local anesthetic is also injected in the area of the puncture site so that the treatment is completely painless for you. The treatment takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on the effort involved and the region to be treated. Afterwards, we will be happy to pamper you with a soothing facial mask.
